文化养老是在充分肯定物质养老基础保障的前提下,在社会经济发展到较高水平时,更加注重对老年人的精神关爱、情感慰藉和道德支持的养老理念。这一理念既体现了我国优秀传统文化,又彰显了当代人文关怀精神。文化养老的当代价值是更新养老观念、创新文化传承途径和保障养老安全。文化养老的可依路径包括探索科学内涵、完善扶持政策、宣传时代理念、搭建阵地平台和组建工作队伍。

Cultural care for the aged is a concept that emphasizes spiritual care,emotional consolation,and moral support for the aged on the premise of guaranteed physical care in China when it has achieved a high level of social and economic development. This concept reflects both the nation's traditional culture and modern spirit of humanistic care. The contemporary value of the concept lies in renewing old ideas concerning the welfare of senior citizens,innovating culture inheritance,and securing the care for the aged. The cultural care may be achieved through the following paths:exploration of its scientific connotation,improvement of the supportive policies,publicity of the ideas of time,establishment of a platform,and setting up of a working team.
