近年来研究者发现在自然语言中存在着多词词汇现象——词块。它们是意义与功能的结合,对语篇的形成起着关键性的作用。如果从词块这个新的视角来认识语言并有意识地对学习者进行词块操练,可以有效地改善二语习得中出现的种种问题,如流利性、准确性、连贯性和可接受性等。
